A leaky water heater is generally a sign of internal damage and replacement is often required.
- Odd Noises: A water heater is designed to work quietly. Any type of cracks or pops should be considered a sign that something bad is about to happen. This is usually an indication that the heating elements contain mineral buildup and are about to go out.
Traditional Tank or Tankless Water Heater
